PACK 310 SUMMER CAMPING July 25-27!

Cost per camper (for the weekend): • $12/person - includes camping, Saturday breakfast and campground fees.

• $4/person - day fee if not camping.

Campground Information:

Camp Verdugo Oaks is located 45 minutes north of Glendale of I-5 at Templin Highway set among a stand of ancient California Live Oaks. CVO ofers a full range of program opportunities, including swimming pool, archery range, BB gun shooting, campfire amphitheater, sports, nature trail and so on, with certified instructors/lifeguards provided by our pack.

Planned Activities:

• Nature Trail Hiking

• Archery - Run by Marie Martin, Certified Archery Instructor ($2 per person extra,

pay at the site)

• Camping Omelet Breakfast - Saturday morning

• Fire pit Talent Show & Campfire Tales at the Amphitheatre

• BB Gun Rifle Range & Swimming Pool - to be determined

Please make sure your child’s medical forms are updated (see "Important Forms" tab above for link to printable medical form). There is an additional permission slip to be filled out for some of the activities at the campsite.

Summer Activity- Raingutter Regatta June 21st!

What: Raingutter Regatta
When: Saturday, June 21 11am-1:00pm

Where: Crescenta Valley Park, behind dog park

RSVP: by Wednesday, June 18

Cost: $1 for boat supplies

Let's kick off our summer pack activities with a Raingutter Regatta! This will be a fun race-- it's summer, no stress!

Boys will build a boat (please bring $1 for supplies, we will provide everything) and then race it in a raingutter. Siblings may participate too. Afterwards we will celebrate with a raingutter-sized banana split sundae!
 

PLEASE RSVP to Tina (thetinashow@gmail.com) by Wednesday, June 18 so we have enough materials for boats and sundaes!

Pack 310 Uniform Closet

Hello Pack 310 Families!
We are maintaining a pack Uniform Closet with gently used items such as uniforms, caps, neckerchiefs, sliders, and belts. If you have any items that your Scout has outgrown, please consider donating them to be used by other Pack 310 families. Your den leader can collect any items.

Or, if you need help and are in need of items, please let us know.
We will have a page (see "Uniform Closet" page tab in top toolbar) with a list of available inventory.

What: Our final Pack Meeting for the scouting year!

It's time for advancement! Let's celebrate our achievements for the year!

Parents, if you have any outgrown uniforms, or last year's neckerchiefs, caps, and/or sliders that you do not wish to keep, please consider donating them to our uniform closet. Please give them to Veronica Alcalde at any time during the year.

Dine-Out Night Fundraiser at Joselitos!

Pack 310 families and friends!

We are having a dining out night fundraiser this Thursday evening at Joselito's in Montrose (NOT the Tujunga location). A percentage of proceeds from the evening will benefit Pack 310, but you MUST bring a copy of the flyer from the pack email (to come) and put your receipt in the box by the cash register when you pay. Print out extra flyers to give to friends and family!

Campus Beautification at Lincoln Elementary!

What: Campus Beautification Day service project

Where: Lincoln Elementary School

When: 8:30am-11:30am Saturday, May 10

Please join us for the bi-annual Lincoln Campus Beautification.

We will be weeding, pruning, doing general clean-up and planting flowers in the pots outside the classrooms. Gardening tools are available.

Any amount of time you can volunteer will be greatly appreciated!
Please wear your Pack 310 T-shirt and your scout hat.

Donuts, juice and water will be provided.


All Scouts that help out will earn a fun patch! Make sure you check in with Miss Rachelle!

Pack 310 Meeting next Friday April 25th - Bridging Ceremony for Den 2/Webelos 2

What: Webelos 2 Bridging Ceremony

Where: Deukmejian Park, on the grass picnic area overlooking the Crescenta Valley.  Sunset ceremony!
 
When: Friday, April 25th, 6pm

Next Friday, April 25th, we will be joining our departing Den 2 Webelos 2 scouts for their Bridging Ceremony from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. These boys have worked very hard for the last 5 years and we'd love to help them celebrate. ALL 7 scouts will be bridging to Troop 319.
We encourage you to come out to show your support for their dedication to the community. This will be our April Pack meeting.
Please attend in full uniform, and bring lawn chairs or blankets.
