Here is some useful information if you are new to Cub Scouts:
Cub Scouting is for boys and girls in kinder through fifth grades, or 5 to 10 years of age. Boys and girls who have completed the fifth grade can no longer join Cub Scouting, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting or Venturing program.
Pack structure:
The Den is a group of about 6-10 boys and girls led by a parent Den Leader and Assistant Den Leader. Dens are organized by rank:
Lions - Kindergarten
Tigers - 1st grade
Wolves - 2nd grade
Bears - 3rd grade
Webelos 1 - 4th grade
Webelos 2 - 5th grade (bridging to Boy Scouts in spring)
Dens meet every 2 weeks.
The Pack is all of the Dens & their families. We have Pack activities in the summer and throughout the year.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer if possible, ask your Den Leader if you are interested in helping out!
What do I need?
Your child will need a uniform. Lions (kindergarteners) will need a Lion Adventure Book and Lion T-shirt instead of a full uniform, available at the Scout Shop.
The uniform consists of:
Short-sleeve uniform shirt (navy blue, except for Webelos which is khaki)
Cap (specific to rank)
Neckerchief
Slider for neckerchief (specific to rank)
Belt & buckle
Uniform pants (Tigers wear jeans, Bear & Wolf wear navy blue pants, Webelos wear olive green pants)
Note: Lions will wear a special T-shirt as their uniform. They will transition to a traditional uniform when they advance to the Tiger rank in 1st grade.
