🌐 Out of This World! 🚀


🌠 FRIDAY, April 27th
Mars Rovers, Space Exploration, & Star Gazing Party


  • ARRIVE:  5:30 - 8:00 pm  (Note:  5 pm for family portraits)
  • THEME:  Discovering the Wonders of Space Exploration, Stars & Constellations
  • WEAR:  Cub Scout Uniform
  • WHERE:  CV Park (open grassy field area, near dog park)
  • BRING:  
    1. Recycled materials and building materials (Ex: Duct tape) to create Mars Rovers using items in your recycling bins (paper towel tubes, TP tubes, small boxes, plastic containers, etc)
    2. Telescopes, Binoculars, Blankets to lie down on and star gaze, warm layers
    3. BYO Family Picnic Dinner & Drinks
  • UPLOAD: Star gazing apps, Constellation apps on your phones / tablets

Meeting Activities:
    • 5:00 - 5:30 pm Family Portraits
    • 5:30 Welcome & Friends of Scouting Information
    • 5:35 - 6:35 pm STEM & Scout Photo Rotations
Groups:  I-Bears,   II -Wolves,   III-Webelos, Tigers, & Lions

Station 1:  Groups Create Mars Rover's Made of Recycled Materials (Each Cub Scout Family to bring Recycled Materials / Duct Tape / Etc.)

Station 2 A&B:  JPL Guest Scientists & Space Exploration

Station 3:  Scout / Den / Family Photos Station
  • 6:35 pm Group Presentations on Mars Rover Creations
  • 6:45 pm Break for BYO Picnic Dinner
  • 7:15 pm  - 8 pm Star Party (Bring Blankets, Star Charts, Telescopes, Binoculars, Star Gazing Apps on tablets / phones).


📷 Scout, Den, Pack & Family Photo Shoot
  • Katie Emery, Pack 310 Alumni Parent, will be available to take family portraits as well as Individual Scout, Den & Pack Group Portraits during our April 27th Pack STEM Meeting
  • Plan to arrive at 5 pm for Family Portraits
Details on print pricing & packages...
  • After the photo shoot, Katie Emery will send out a link to an online album where you can pick the photos you would like to purchase.
  • Prints are $30 each and available in these sizes:  5x7, 8x10, 8x12, Set of 12 Wallets
  • All prints are professionally printed on Lustre-coated paper, and mounted on styrene.
