Join in on the Family Fun with Pack 310!
Cub Scouts began in 1930. Lord Baden-Powell founded
Scouting and was fond of the stories in The Jungle Book by
Rudyard Kipling. Akela, the Wolf, was a wise leader and
adopted the boy, Mowgli, into the Pack. Baloo the Bear, helped
teach Mowgli the laws of the jungle to help him live amongst
the animals safely and responsibly. To this day, we use words
like Den and Pack as a way of remembering how Cub Scouting
began with inspiration from The Jungle Book.
Why Join Cub Scouts?
The scouting experience facilitates bonding the boys as friends through interactive team building adventures. And that goes for the parents & families as well. Joining scouts has introduced people to life-long friends who look out for each other, not to mention, just plain enjoy socializing with one another. Through scouting, your son will develop character qualities such as trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. He will also learn new skills, develop new interests, and build on his own self-confidence, all while having fun filled adventures.
We have a variety of family friendly adventures throughout the year, including: STEM Nova and Supernova Award Programs, Camp Outs and Outdoor Events, Halloween Carnivals, Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet, Hikes, Summertime activities, and Community service projects. This Years STEM Theme is “Cubs Can Code” and we’ll be learning about computers, coding, and more!
