First Aid Kit fundraiser forms DUE Jan. 16th!

Hello, everyone:

Thanks for participating in the First Aid Kit sale!

Just a reminder, first aid kit order forms and money are due to Katie at the Pinewood Derby Pack meeting, on January 16th.  Please make sure to collect all monies due before that time.  Remember, checks need to be made out to "BSA Pack 310." 

** ONLY FULLY COMPLETED AND FULLY PAID FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED **

• Make sure to check off "cash" or "check" next to each person's name and confirm payment is correct.
• Fill out the total due (right side of page) and the total number of items (bottom of page) columns.

We will probably do one more show & sell before the end of January - Katie will send an email once she has confirmation.

Remember, your Scout earns money in his Scout account that he can use to pay for Scouting and camping supplies & fees.  It's a great way to pay your son's way in Scouting, and to support the Pack!

Pack 310 PInewood Derby

What: Pack 310 Pinewood Derby

When: Friday January 16th

Where: Lincoln Auditorium

Time:

• Weigh-in starts at 6:00pm!
• Weigh-in closes at 6:30pm!
• 6:30 pm -- Derby officially begins with a flag ceremony

Along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, here are the categories for special prizes:

• Fastest looking car

• Best paint job

• Most unusual 

• Best workmanship 

• Best scout themed 

Please remember car weight CANNOT exceed 5 ounces (including wheels & axles), you will not be permitted to race if it does-- so be sure to arrive with enough time to decrease/increase weight.
Don't be late, if you miss weigh-in, your car cannot race!

Montrose Holiday Parade!

What: Marching in Montrose Holiday Parade
When: Saturday, December 6th; meet no later than 5:15pm
Where: Meet at corner of Hermosa & Rosemont

- Represent Pack 310 in the Montrose Holiday Parade!!

- At least ONE PARENT is required to stay with the Pack (and their scout) until the parade starts.

- Dress warm YET scouts need to be in FULL UNIFORM. Please try to avoid winter jackets over the uniform so the Pack can show their colors. (Remember, the parade is rain or shine!)

- Additional info below from the council:

 

Only registered scouts and leaders may walk in the parade, no siblings are permitted to walk.

 

Parking is provided in the Armenian Sisters Academy on Mira Vista for scout families. The lot hours are 4:30 to10:00.  Please make sure you get your car out as the gate will be locked promptly at 10:00 and you will not be able to access your car until Sunday morning!

 

The parade march will proceed east on Honolulu Avenue, completing the route at Verdugo Road.  Your group will turn left/north on Verdugo and proceed to Carl’s Jr.  Parents are asked to go to this parking lot on foot after the parade to gather their children.  No parking will be permitted in this lot.

Pack 310 Dine Out Night- Wednesday, Dec. 3rd at Blaze Pizza

What: Pack 310 Dine Out Night!
When: 5-10pm Wednesday, December 3rd
Where: Blaze Pizza, 990 Town Center Dr., La Cañada, CA 91011 (by Sport Chalet)

Join us for a night out to raise funds for our upcoming pack outing to the Reagan Presidential Library! You MUST bring along a copy of the flyer (click on an image below & print, or get a copy from your den leader) and Pack 310 will receive 20% of the proceeds from your meal. Give flyers to friends & family too!

November Pack Meeting- Thanksgiving Potluck!

Hello Pack 310 families!

Reminder that this Friday is our November pack meeting! We'll be enjoying our annual Thanksgiving potluck dinner together. If you haven't decided what to bring, please reach out to your den leader(s). If you are preparing allergy-sensitive dishes (awesome) - please label as such! Thank you.

Also, we will be collecting donations for our annual toiletry drive for Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission! 

Here is the suggested donation list:

Deodorant
Soap
Shampoo
Hand Sanitizer
Band-Aids
Diapers & baby wipes
Lip balm
Comb or hairbrush 

The Dollar Store is perfect for this, it would be nice if you allowed your boys to choose stuff, themselves, to donate-- while having a meaningful conversation about helping others in need, which ties in with the November theme of Citizenship!

Also, also -- a few things we'll cover at the pack meeting: Blaze Pizza Dine-out on 12/3, Montrose Parade on 12/6 and the First Aid Kit Pack 310 fundraiser!

And finally, Pack 310 car magnets will be available for purchase ($6 each, 2 for $10) as well.

First Aid Kit Fundraiser!

Hello Pack 310 Families!

We are launching our exciting new fundraiser - Right Response First Aid Kits!

Order forms have been distributed to your den leaders and you should receive them at your next den meeting, or pack event (or sooner - just ask your den leader!)

The Fundraiser will run from now until the January Pack meeting.  The boys will be able to sell through taking paper orders AND through doing fun Show & Sell outings.

(If people want these first aid kits for Xmas, let Mrs. Emery know before the first week of December, and we can place an early order.)

 

Our goal is to sell the kits and help the boys raise the money they need to fund their scouting activities.

This year’s commission structure: 25% goes into the boys’ personal scout accounts and 25% goes back to the pack

Scout Sales Goal = $600

25% of that: $150 in your personal scout account!!!

The Scout account can be used to reimburse your boy for Scouting activities and equipment (such as uniforms, belt buckles, Pinewood Derby cars, items from the Cub Scout store, camping supplies, registration fees, etc).  

Please remember to save your receipts!  Once the sale is over, Mrs. Emery will let you know how much your son has in his account, and will send out a reimbursement form to turn in to Mrs. Alcalde.
