We need YOUR help!

Hello Pack 310 parents,
We need YOUR help!
With our Webelos II den bridging to Boy Scouts, we need to fill a few Pack Committee positions. If you are interested or have more questions, please contact your den leader.

Blue & Gold Banquet Committee- We are looking for 2-3 parents who love to throw a good party. This is a once-a-year event in February, celebrating the "birthday" of Cub Scouts. Our current Blue & Gold Chair is bridging out in 2017 so she will be able to mentor you for the Feb. 2017 Blue & Gold Banquet.
Duties would include coordinating the catering (including RSVPs, ordering food, collecting funds, pickup & serving night of event) and decorations.

Fundraising Chair- This position is vital to our pack! Fundraising pays for your scout's awards and offsets costs for camping and other outings, and the boys earn funds in their Scout Accounts that can be used for scout-related expenses. If we do not have a Fundraising Chair, we will have to cut back considerably with camping and other fun activities for all of the scouts in the pack.
Duties include:

-Make recommendations on fundraising activities.
-Work with the leaders to provide Fundraising training for youth and families.
-Help the unit committee and leaders with Popcorn and other Fundraising events.
-Provide sufficient Fundraising opportunities so that boys can pay for their Basic Expenses and have money in their Individual Accounts.
-Work with the Treasurer in conducting council-approved unit money-earning projects.
-All Fundraising activities and the profit allocation to the unit will be in compliance with BSA Policy.
Next year we will likely sell popcorn, as it is a pre-planned fundraiser through the Verdugo Hills Council, so the planning is already done for you.
It is highly recommended that you attend the Popcorn Sale training at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 12th at the Verdugo Hills Council in Glendale. Katie (our outgoing Fundraising Chair) and Tina (our Pack trainer) will accompany you!
