Annual Pinewood Derby

Saturday, February 27.

This year, the derby will be Virtual.  We will collect the cars on the prior weekend, February 20-21 (drop location TBD), and depending on the Covid situation, either one Scout Leader (with their immediate family), or a few of the Pack Leaders will race the submitted cars over a Zoom feed.  We are still working out some details on the production side of the event, but it should be a great pack event!

Get busy building those cars with your Cub Scouts!   More details to come, including the zoom link and exact time. Check your emails or contact your Leaders for the details.

Cars will be awarded for fastest, most creative, best scout design, and best den design.

Scouting for Food

Saturday, November 7 is the bag drop-off.
Saturday, November 14 is the bag pickup.

Scouting for Food is a food collection effort carried out by Scouts from your community. Scouts distribute and collect bags throughout a designated area; then the bags are collected and carried to common collection points. These points, which are various food banks in the area, then distribute the food to those in need in the community, as well as other local homeless shelters and kitchens.

With your help, the Scouts of the Verdugo Hills Council can feed many families this holiday season and can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
